University of North Florida Department of Psychology Purpose of Research: To investigate how people form impressions. Specific Procedures to be Used: You will be asked to do some reading and complete several questionnaires. Duration of Participation: Your participation should take 5-10 minutes. Benefits to the Individual: Your participation in this research will contribute to the body of psychological knowledge about the relationships between different types of social knowledge. You will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of psychological research. In addition, you will receive information about previous research findings on the relationships between different types of social knowledge at the end of this study. Risks to the Individual: There are no foreseeable risks in this study greater than those encountered in daily social interactions. Anonymity: Strict anonymity of all data will be upheld. Your responses will remain anonymous and will not be associated with any identifying information. Your informed consent will be kept separate from your responses to the questionnaires. The University of North Florida Institutional Review Board may inspect the project’s research records or its designees to ensure participants’ rights are being protected. Voluntary Nature of Participation: Your participation in this research project is strictly voluntary. You do not have to participate. If you agree to participate you can withdraw at any time without penalty. You do not have to answer any question you find objectionable.
